[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 444px; background-image: url(http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t264/nadzylala/TEMPLATES/LIGHTBKGBOYS.png); border-top: #5a6989 solid 10px; border-bottom: #5a6989 solid 10px; width: 457px; padding-top: 10; padding-bottom: 10;] carter kennedy st. clair , twenty-three, lambda sigma rho, english major, senior devoted, distant, creative, sponetaneous, total pisces this here is carter kennedy st. clair. carter was born and raised in denver, colorado. he grew up in the elite gymnastics world alongside his younger sister, chapin. knowing little other than his family and the gym, carter lived a pretty sheltered life. he originally came to lcu as a member of the gymnastics team, though he has since quit after the tragic death of his sister during his sophomore year due to complications of an eating disorder. when carter learned of his sister's collapse, he attempted to drive to go see her, only to end up in the same hospital she had. driving recklessly, he crashed into another car and suffered a mild head injury. after taking some time off of school to grieve and recover, he's returned, but he's not the same carter he was. lambda sigma rho is one of the few things he's managed to stick with, having quit the gymnastics team. few people know it, but carter suffers from fregoli delusions, in that sometimes when speaking to people, he will see and hear his sister instead of who he is actually speaking to, which is very disorienting and confusing for him. because of the recent trauma in his life, and mostly untreated mental illness, carter comes off pretty distant and reserved. however, he is one of the kindest, most devoted and loyal people you will ever meet. he is a great listener and thinker, and will always be there for a friend. he's not all doom and gloom, he has his better days. he can be fun to be around and is quite spontaneous and imaginative, but he's far from the life of the party. he enjoys writing poetry, playing music (without an audience, he's very humble), hiking, swimming, running, working out on the gymnastics equipment from time to time, and being outdoors in general. he prefers serious deep conversation to cracking jokes. he's a hard worker, but loves relaxing at the end of a busy day. especially if it involves sparking up a joint or bowl of weed. maybe he's self-medicating, but he enjoys a good smoke from time to time and finds that it makes him feel just a little less guilty, a little more uninhibited, and more prone to not take himself so seriously. friends carter is not the easiest person to get to know due to his quiet and reserved nature. however, if someone can initiate conversation with him and keep the conversation going, he's more than willing to talk to them. he's a great friend who truly enjoys supporting his friends and doing what makes them happy. he might also be a little bit of a pushover in that way. he tries his best to be happy, but he's still learning. he'll joke around with those he's truly comfortable with and he gives great advice. he has trouble remembering names and faces (mostly because of chapin's appearances in his mind) but take it as a compliment if he confuses you with his sister. he only really sees her when he sees the good inside of a person. enemies carter really doesn't do anything to provoke enemies. he keeps to himself for the most part, unless he's spoken too. he's humble and doesn't like showing off, and he's generally pretty nonconfrontational. people may get impatient with his slack grip on reality, and people might be offended by the fact that remembering names and faces is difficult for him. at his lowest of lows, if he goes on a drinking bender, he might be involved in a bar fight. he'll do anything to defend his friends, so mess with them and things might get ugly. beyond that though, he's a pretty likeable guy. lovers love doesn't come easy for carter. for him to truly love someone, they would have to be extremely patient with him. ideally, they would remind him a lot of his sister (who was his favorite person) and be genuinely good and kindhearted. while he would love the girl/guy, it would pain him to be around someone so like chapin. like anyone, he would have a few one night stands here and there, though his memory of them if he saw them again would probably be next to none (between alcohol and existing face recognition problems). in general, he's more a long term, serious relationship, sort of guy who frequently just ends up in the friend zone. i'm always up for a good plot, feel free to post anything you think sounds like fun! you can also get at me on aim: xitsjustatangox to discuss any plot! .......................

carter and trey, acquaintances So I think these two would definitely at least know each other, being that Trey assists in English and creative writing and gets to teach solo from time to time. Trey could appreciate Carter's thoughtful side and his ability to produce very pensive food for thought with his work, but trying to draw that out a bit more an instill a sense of pride in his work in the man is quite frustrating. Although maybe not forever xD But Darcie and Carter are obviously quite similar(minus the pain and suffering and delusions) in that they both enjoy helping people and being there for their friends and I think for that, they could quite easily lean on each other for support now and again. They're in English together so they could know each other from therrre. I know even if Carter was being quiet, Darcie could carry out a conversation on her own xD And every time he looked troubled she'd offer to take him out for tea and have a chat, because that's what she does. .......................

I'm not sure how they would meet, but I can see Ambrielle and Carter being friends. Ambrielle is really caring and sweet. She would try to help Carter come to terms with his sister's death all that she could, if he told her... xP She is usually very serious, and she loves to help people. Sometimes she goes too far, not really knowing where to stop. She's shy.. So meeting new people isn't really her thing. Which brings me back to them meeting.. I don't know how that would really happen. .......................

I can definitely see these two clicking quite well! She can balance out Carter's crazy and he can sort of mellow her out from time to time. She'll have to be patient with him, because she's a fair bit like Chapin, so, you know, he might get confused sometimes/a lot at first. Since they'd be new-ish friends, it'd be interesting to play out the first time that happens, me thinks. The fact that she's a talker would make him love to be around her though, puts less pressure on him to be less socially awkward. When he's in a spontaneous mood I'm sure he'll call her up from time to time to go on adventures! .......................

Carter goes to the parties, but he doesn't usually engage in the heavy drinking, most of the time he sticks to the corners and merely watches his brothers get into all sorts of drunken debauchery. Maybe Ambrielle was doing the same thing, and she and Carter shared a laugh about something going on, and he decided to talk to her from there? And he'd probably be slow to open up about his sister at first, but maybe she could have heard more of the details from someone else? I dunno. He would definitely open up eventually or she'd see him looking all confused when he was talking to her from time to time. .......................

She's a Senior who takes English as well sI was thinking that these two could have been friends since their Freshman year. She's also a cheerleader so I can see her harrassing him to teach her some new gymnastics moves. Soph's one of the sweetest and most supportive girls you'll ever meet so she'd connect really well with Carter. She would have been there for him when his sister passed and would have even driven up to be with him in the hospital. Soph really needs a male friend who has the same mind set as her and she'd appreaciate having someone she can have serious conversations with. She's also pretty naive and let's people walk all over her so maybe Carter can make her see sense sometimes. That's just my idea, feel free to add, or completely change it. .......................

Cute! I like this! English majors for the win, and it'll be nice for Carter to have someone who gets him and what he's been through. I see him having a hard time saying no to Sophia and just having this total soft spot for her. Like, he really doesn't like to do gymnastics anymore because of what happened, but if she proposes getting into the gym together, he would totally do it to see what of skills have survived disuse. And he wouldn't take well to people walking all over her, so he, very gently, would let her know she needs to stop being such a doormat. Also, he claims right of approval with anyone she plans to date. -nods- Protective, a bit, Carter is. Edit: So then I thought some more. And here's the more harebrained notion I had for these two. Since she's known him so long, maybe at one point while she wasn't with Marx, the two of them tried dating, but Carter saw too much of Chapin in her and it just didn't work out because she couldn't fully understand what was going on because he tried to keep the delusions from her? And they just agreed to be good friends. Now, years later, that Carter is in the process of adjusting, and he's known Sophia for so long, he sees her for just her, and he totally loves her. One sided crushing is fine, if she wants him to remain in the friend zone, but if you'd like, I think there could be potential there for something between them in the future! .......................
