T H E R U L E S
Joining & Starting Out
Because the site deals with college life, we ask that you must be sixteen or older to join. This is because we feel younger people may not accurately role play said subject. If you want to argue this, pm an admin. Due to Proboards cracking down on sexual / inappropriate content, we ask that any role plays heading in that direction be blacked out.
After signing up for our site, we ask that you change your display name to your character's name, all UPPERCASE.
ex. DYLAN XANDER SIMPSON
to do this, go to:profile > modify profile > display name
Please do not post anything until your application has been reviewed and accepted by an admin.
Once you've been accepted, please fill out all the claims as well as create or find graphics. Avatars must be 250 x 300 and sigs cannot stretch the boards.
Posting !
We are a literate role playing site. This means that you must be able to type using proper punctuation, sentence structure, spelling and grammar while in character. We also ask that you refrain from using chatspeak and word abbreviations while out of character.u r wai kool

As part of our literate requirements, we ask that all in character posts (in role plays) have a minimum of 250 words. It's easy, don't complain.
If you've been role playing for awhile and your thread dies, please pm an admin so they can move it to the archives.
Characters !
At H&C, we have a limit of five characters per person. If you create siblings, they count as one person. If you've got a problem with this, please contact an admin.
Please, try to keep ratios even. If you see that we have thirty females and ten males, don't go creating three more girls. Likewise, we want to see variety in your characters. If you're only capable of playing homosexual males, so be it, but don't make them all man slut models. We have no problem with gay / bisexual / lesbian / trans characters, but if they start to take over, we will put a ban up.
Not everyone has a troubled past. we don't want to see ten people who's parents died in a horrific accident, and they now live with a rich relative. It happens, yeah, but not that often. Troubled kids are a pain in the ass, especially if it doesn't affect their every day lives.
We do not accept play bys who are internet celebrities or your best friend. Please pick someone who has accomplished more than pulling a pouty face at a camera. This is mostly for the admin's sanity, but also so that you're guaranteed a decent amount of good quality pictures. Please pick a play by that looks your chracter's age. Taylor Swift cannot pass for older than 25 or younger than 16.
Activity !
There will definitely be activity checks on our site. We like active people and if you don't think you can be active enough (logging in at least once a week) don't bother joining. If you think you'll be going away for awhile, please post in the going away board. That's what it's there for. Use it. We also ask that you log into all your accounts frequently, to make us look active.
Punishment !
These rules aren't hard to follow so if you can't, we'll be pretty shocked. We'll give you a fair warning three times. However, after the third time, you will be suspended. If you come back and still fail to follow the rules, after ONE warning, you will be IP banned.
