Sophia Cooper slammed the door of her car shut, pressing down on her keys to lock it. Listening for the familiar beep, it soon filled the air and alerted her that her car was safe. Readjusting her bag on her shoulder, Sophia began up the familiar street, taking in everything as she passed. No matter how many times Soph walked these streets, she still managed to stay highly observant. She enjoyed seeing all of the different people, all of the new stores, the general atmosphere of her environment. The simplest of things really could amuse her. Nearing the beauty salon, Soph popped on her usually friendly smile and pushed her way through the doors.
Instantly her senses were bombarded. The smell of beauty products with the distinct scent of coconut, the chattering of other girls and colour galore. Her eyes drifted to the stand of nail polishes instantly, her mind already racking over what she wanted. The beauty salon was a popular one amongst most females on campus. Every girl needed to be pampered once in awhile and with a bunch of sororities around, the salon was usually pretty busy. Sophia never felt the need to make an appointment though. Regardless of the wait, the women that worked there always made the time for her. Yes, she was a good client but Sophia was actually rather nice to them. It would be weird if she didn't get to know them wouldn't it? They were usually touching her feet or her hands.
"Hey Abbey" Sophia smiled at the pretty brunette behind the counter who smiled back brilliantly. A few minutes of friendly chatter and Sophia was rushed to a station and ready for a little relaxation. She'd had classes all morning so she deserved a little time to herself. As long as she had her phone, everyone could reach her so any business could be handled during her manicure and pedicure. It wasn't often she took time out. If she had an event coming up, ofcourse she took the time to look good but she never did things just because she could. This was her chance to just relax and not think about anything else.
Sitting down, her feet were placed into the warm bubbly water and Soph snuggled into her chair comfortably. "Just pink polish for my toes and a french manicure for the hands" Soph smiled at her usual girl. Despite how many times she'd been there, Sophia still wasn't entirely comfortable with people waiting on her. It always made her feel rude and she often offered to do things the staff were actually paid to do for her. That was just how she was raised however, luxury had never been at anyone elses expense. Sophia picked up a copy of Vogue and started flipping through the pages in an attempt to entertain herself. As she flicked she kept up a decent, light conversation with Abbey, asking her about her own life and making comments. "Oh the fundraiser was amazing. We raised about $10,000" Sophia beamed when asked about the Zeta's last fundraiser.
