Sophia Elise Cooper is the current Zeta Tau Delta President. She's twenty-three years old and a Senior studying to be a journalist. She was born and raised just an hour away from the university, making it an obvious choice.
Appearance
Sophia looks alot like her mother and is often told so. Unlike her brothers she hasn't inherited her fathers towering height and stands at 5'5. It's never been an issue for Soph, she's average height and it means she can indulge in her passion for high heels. She's never had any real concerns with her body however. She's quite petite and slim thanks to genetics. The tone in her body is thanks to years of cheerleading, working out and dancing. Sophia is quite fit despite her love for junk food. Curves in all the right places, she's often complimented on her behind but she's totally aware that she doesn't have the largest breasts or most hour glass figure. Everything is in proportion though and by the time she was about twenty, Soph had finally accepted that.
Her face is some what delicate and very graceful. If anything, Sophia really does look like a modern day princess. All of her features are delicate and don't swamp her face. Eyes are the same hazel as her fathers, changing colours in the light. Sometimes they appear to be a deeper shade of yellowy brown and then they can catch a glimpse of green. Her eyes go against the stereotypical blue eyes and blonde hair and one of her favorite features. Sophia's nose is very slim and small, never really having any focus put on it. Her lips are thinner than she'd like but stretch into a lovely smile, perfected by many dentists over the years and something Soph obsessed over. Clean teeth are very important to her.
Sophia's hair is her favorite thing about herself. She's a natural blonde, a rare thing these days but let's be realistic, she believes in improvements. As Soph got older her blonde got darker and now she gets regular highlights to keep it fresh looking. She keeps her hair long and it naturally hangs quite straight down her back. Depending on the weather however, she's often seen sporting waves or even curls on big occasions. Day to day, Sophia likes to spend as little time on grooming as possible. She leaves her hair down, pulls it back for cheerleading or works in a cute side braid of hair accessory.
Fashion is something Soph adores. She doesn't have the money to buy everything designer but does have a few labels in her wardrobe. All worked for ofcourse. She's not a label snob, she can't always afford to be so she's made friends with all types of stores and clothes. During the day Sophia likes to keep up to date and adores cute skirts and shorts with a girly top matched with killer heels ofcourse. Big statement jackets and jeans matched with leather boots or flats. Evenings or functions is where Sophia has the most fun. She loves to get dressed up and feel like a princess and always goes the extra miles. She had a large collections of cocktail dresses and gowns that she's collected over the years. Some gorgeous vintage gowns she's got for a few dollars or a tight, cleavage baring Chanel she's saved up for. Soph doesn't wear alot of makeup during classes but when it calls for it she's a big fan of the smokey eye and pink lips.
Both ears are pierced and are currently the only piercing Soph has. At one stage she had her belly done but removed it and deciding it looked quite tacky and very high school. When she first started college Soph went and got herself a tattoo. Running down her her left side as the words"Mary had a little lamb" in black cursive. She's always loved fairy tales and nursery rhymes and her tattoo was symbolic of her favorite. She's never regretted it but it often comes as a shock that someone like her has a tattoo. The script looks nice against her slightly tanned skin anyway and Soph is still happy with it to this day.
Personality
Sophia Cooper really does fit in with the whole idea of the sweet as pie, American girl. She's one of the sweetest girls you'd ever meet and has the ability to talk to anyone. The petite blonde was raised to be compassionate and accepting of everyone and has carried on the values her parents taught her throughout her entire life. Sophia is a very positive person that will go out of her way to acknowledge the good in everything and everyone rather than dwell on their flaws. She sees no point in judging someone on their past or little personality aspects and will put in the extra effort to get to know people and find things she likes in them.
While she is very sweet and friendly, this can also be Sophia's downfall. Her fairy tale world where everyone can get along and everyone is good is unrealistic and she refuses to believe that. Sophia will continue to try with someone no matter how many times they screw up her. She can be seen as being naive at times and can be taken advantage of. She has a bleeding heart and very easily persuaded. Many would refer to her as a bit of a pushover. Sophia just doesn't see the point in saying no if it'll upset someone. She's more concerned with her friends happiness than her own and will put herself out for anyone. Her life has also been quite blessed and being a pretty girl, people have also been lovely to her so she does have a warped sense of reality and this may be why she she choose to believe in bad people.
Sophia didn't get to where she was by simply being pretty and nice however. A lot of hard word has gone into everything she does and that is one thing Sophia is strict on. She knows that nothing comes for free and in order to achieve she must apply herself. Sophia is quite intelligent but she's not at the top of her class. The blonde studies and throws her effort into anything and everything she does, earning every little things. Her can-do attitude and dedication is why she is now president of her sorority and a key participant in many groups and clubs around campus.
Bubbly doesn't even begin to describe Sophia's aura. She's always been very energetic and rarely takes breaks. She can be quite fun and puts all of her energy into every task she undertakes. Cheerleading has always been her main outlet and one of her biggest passions. Sophia loves to improve people's moods and finds she's quite good at it. It's perfect really because she's definitely a social being. People are like air to Soph and she has to be around them as much as possible. She feeds off the energy of others and feels most comfortable in big groups. As head of her house, she is very social because she needs to be and because it makes her feel normal.
She's not all smiles and sunshine however. Sophia is very caring and the best shoulder to cry on. She likes helping others with their problems and emotions. When it comes to hers however, Sophia can be very good at hiding her emotions. People expect her to be this optimistic little thing and that's what she's used to displaying. Of course she gets hurt and mad just like everyone else but Sophia guards her real feelings. She's never understood why exactly but it may have something to do with her ex boyfriend. Once he ditched her and started dating her complete opposite, Soph was heartbroken. Ever since then she finds it hard to express herself.
You can't keep everything in though. Don't get me wrong, Sophia is not some meek girl that always lets people push her around and smiles through it. It takes alot but if Soph is pushed enough all of that pent up anger can explode. She'll cry, yell and say hurtful things. It comes as a shock and is very rare as she's so often viewed as the level headed sweetheart. If Sophia does breakdown and have an outburst it does feel like great stress relief but she's always very ashamed and embarrassed about it after and once again, her not so pleasant feelings go back into lock down.
When it comes to the opposite sex, Sophia loves them. She's always been very pretty and attracted lots of attention. What girl wouldn't love that? Soph's very careful not to be perceived as a slut however. She's not the type to sleep around with strangers and believes in true love. Sophia is much more comfortable in a dating scene or a relationship rather than going out and hooking up. Every girl has a prince charming, she just needs to find him. Soph loves the idea of love and wants it more than anything. Her heart is always open, even when she tries to fight it and she's easily swept off her feet.
Sophia hates drama, always has and always will. The excess stress is so pointless and she'd much rather enjoy her life. Confrontation is not her strong point, even in a sorority. She'd rather keep the peace and harmony as she's not comfortable saying nasty things or making someone feel bad. Violence is an absolute no no with her as she can be very placid and tries to remain graceful at all times. There aren't many things Sophia will get mad over but if you hurt someone she loves, she will not tolerate it. There's only so much a person can take and as an extremely loyal girl, Soph can defend the people she loves better than herself. Pushed, Sophia can fight fire with fire and will use her power to win. This is in extreme cases however and she'd much rather turn the other cheek. Be warned though, she does have that bitchy streak that all girls have so don't push her.
Giving and caring is a big part of who Sophia is and probably why she has done so well as a Zeta. Soph has always had to share, growing up as one of three she learnt to quite quickly and it is something that has stuck. She can't stand by while others are hurting and do nothing. If she can do anything to make someones life a little better, she will. Fund raising for charities is like second nature to her. Her mother runs and event management business so party planning comes naturally to her, as does compassion. She's very aware of others and very pro=active when she finds a cause.
History
Lisa and Ethan met during high school and what followed was your typical romance. The high school cheerleader dating the captain of the football team. However rather than ending in an unplanned pregnancy and a shot gun wedding, the couple did things exactly how they'd wanted. They attended college, Lisa graduating to become an event planner and Ethan to become a high school principal. Neither careers offered a huge salary but the two always believed in doing something they enjoyed rather than concerning themselves with extreme luxuries.
The couple wed right after college bringing together their families and beginning a life they'd been planning together year after the wedding they welcomed their firth child into the world. Sebastian Cooper a beautiful baby boy that they doted on. Family was the Cooper's main priority. Their lives were not work, it was simply a means to provide and so they made do with the income they had. Ethan and Lisa had always planned to have a large family and they eventually had two more children. Sophia Cooper and Anthony Cooper.
There's many stereotypes about the middle child but Sophia found her childhood to be quite pleasant and enjoyable. Perhaps it was because she was the only girl and therefore the apple of her parents eye. The Coopers have always been very loving and showered their children with affection. They didn't have the most extravagant house or designer clothes but they were always well provided for. Their children have never needed anything and Sophia has always been content with what she has.
Growing up, Soph was very close to her brothers. The whole family act as one big unit. They eat Sunday dinner together, have each other on speed dial and have always had an open dialog. Her parents were very hands on with her, making sure she was always able to come to them and ask for their advice. As for her brothers, Sophia adores them still to this day. While she was the only girl she found it easy to relate to both Sebastian and Anthony and they have always been protective of them.
High school was when Sophia really found herself. Raised to be a sweet, accepting and caring person, Sophia had no problem making friends. That teamed with her looks and her passion for cheering and social events paved the way for her. Things just came easily to her. Popularity, grades and success. Sophia soon learnt that people didn't always care about your bank balance and also realized there were people out there that had far less than she did. Her parents have constantly encouraged her to follow her dreams and work hard for them. They spent their kids younger years working so they could send them to college and it is because of that that Sophia is the dedicated young woman she is today.
College came all too quickly and initially the change was harder for Sophia. She felt like she was starting all over again and couldn't help but feel lost. Letting her parents down has never been an option for her however and she quickly thrived. It was very lucky she had a supportive family. She joined the right sorority, participated in activities and all too soon she'd found her place once again. Now in her Senior year, Sophia had claimed her rightful place as the President of Zeta and couldn't be happier. There is one thing hanging over her head however. A childhood friend and ex boyfriend running around campus after one of the snobbiest girls she's ever met.
hey, so i'm nat. i've been roleplaying for five years now. as well as this character, i also play n/a. you can reach me by pm is fine if you need me for anything. i found HAZED AND CONFUSED on caution and i'm pretty glad i did. here's an example of mah skillz. (:Happy in her own little world, Isabelle was finding the quiet to be a nice change from her fast paced life. Though she was one of those girls that never planned and just went with the flow, it seemed the flow just never stopped for Issy. There'd be a party to attend and then before she knew it it'd be time for class and after that she'd get roped into some shopping excursion or something and the cycle continued from there. As much as a person needed down time, Issy never seemed to get any and the thought of it was a little daunting to someone who was used to always being occupied. Being left alone with her own thoughts was rare and now here she was with nothing but her own little mind to keep her entertained. She didn't have much a problem though. People themselves were interesting to watch even if you weren't making conversation with them. Their interactions and gestures usually kept Isabelle interested while she entertained story lines for them in her head.
Staring off at a group of students as the walked through the parking lot she probably would have taken one look at herself and call her a creep but she was so caught up in her imaginary world that everything else around her went unnoticed. It wasn't until she heard her name that the young lady was quickly snapped back into the real world. It took her a moment to adjust but it was a nice surprise she saw standing in front of her. A smile tugged gently at the corners of her mouth, flashing her pearly whites with enthusiasm. Now that she had someone to keep her company she didn't care about her quiet time. It seemed far to boring. "Hello gorgeous" Issy greeted the boy happily.
Jace Oakley. One of the many guys she'd dated over the years but one she was still on fabulous terms with. Isabelle would always have a soft spot for Jace. To look at the pair she knew many people would find it odd. She'd heard it enough from just about everyone when they were actually dating. She took no notice of it however. Jace had something that she liked and that was enough for her. Issy could never define her "type" of guy, she just didn't have one. She was aware that most people would ideally pair her together with some Ken doll or something and yes, sometimes she did date those kind of guys. To be honest, she liked trying different guys out. She loved people and her favorite thing about them was how they all differed from one another. It was little details that made her smile when she was around Jace. He was nothing like anyone she had ever met before and that had attracted her instantly. The way he dressed, his behavior, his relationships with other people. He was so happy to just do whatever he wanted and she'd always admired that. Underneath though, she knew he was just a guy and one she'd been more than pleased with when she'd taken the chance to know him.
"Ha ha you're sweet, but no I don't" Issy laughed at the compliment shaking her pretty head. "I look like I've been hit by a truck. And then reversed over" she continued to giggle as she took a quick check of her reflection in the window beside her. Pushing down a loose strand of hair she returned her attention to her ex boyfriend. She really wasn't phased by what she looked like. Chances were Jace had seen her in far worse states than this. So, how are you Jace? I feel like I haven't seen you in forever" she asked him with genuine interest. It probably hadn't been that long since the pair had been in the company of one another but to Isabelle it felt like years since they last time they'd had a proper conversation and she really did miss that.
Picking up another few fries she turned her head to the side, glancing out the window casually and eating them discretely. It had become a habit around Jace, something she didn't even have to think about anymore. Isabelle was aware that he had an issue with eating and she never wanted to make him feel uncomfortable. After their time dating and spending nearly every day together, she'd managed to develop the technique with ease. She may not have understood that about him, but she was accepting of it. It did worry her sometimes. He was awfully thin and Isabelle just wanted to stuff food down his throat sometimes but she knew it was the worst possible thing. Instead, she never mentioned it. Jace was happy and that was all she ever wanted for him. She was in no position to judge and would remain that way.
Jace was like no guy she'd dated before. In fact, they were all so different from one another. When it came to Isabelle it was like trying on clothes for her. You had to see if something felt and fit right. If she liked who someone was, that was all that mattered. She adored Jace for being whoever the hell he wanted to be. She adored the way she could be around him. She could say silly things or act like a child again and they'd just laugh together. While she connected with people pretty well it was nice for Isabelle to be one hundred percent comfortable with someone. That was why she'd remained friends with Jace. Their breakup hadn't been some huge scandalous drama, it had just happened and Issy wasn't bitter about it at all. When it all came down to it, they just were too different. Partying, sex, interests. Eventually a relationship became too hard and they'd split up. Isabelle had never been too sure how Jace had handled it but she was glad they were friends now.
