- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Meet Sebastian Louis Vanleer -- more commonly known as Seb -- a twenty year old sophomore from New York, born on [ a day that Nat should decide ]. With a family as well off as his, he doesn't have much need for a job. He's perfectly fine living off of his parents' bank account, and is subsequently unemployed. He's at LCU to study law and is currently an Omega Chi Epilson brother.
appearance.
When it comes to looks, Sebastian has always been compared to his twin sister Isabelle. Though they aren't identical, there's definitely some resemblances. Their parents gave them some good genes, that's for sure. A mop of mousy brown hair covers his head, usually slightly messy or ruffled for one reason or another. Only at more important functions does he take to the time to tame it. Eyes the same warm shade as his sister's are the feature of his face, along with a nose slightly crooked from being broken one too many times during sports. Skin with a light tan and a few freckles, along with occasional scar or bruise, it's obvious he likes to be outdoors. Seb has a tall and lean frame, standing at just about six feet tall with wiry muscles.
Image and appearance has always been important to his family, so it's only logical that he would think the same way. Dressing casually for the most part, Seb can also clean up pretty well when he wants to. He uses his looks to his advantage when he needs to, and though it's not the first thing on his priority list, he does make somewhat of an effort.

It's not a big secret that Seb is the smarter half when it comes to him and his sister. Issy isn't a whole lot of competition, to be honest, school has never really been her thing. On the other hand, he does well enough in most of his classes. The guy isn't a total nerd, but will put the effort into studying and doing his homework. He learns things quickly and easily and has no problem passing. Seb is clever and a little more thoughtful and cautious when it comes to planning things out. His sister is more reckless, where as he is the brains of the operation in most situations.

Seb thrives on popularity and loves to be well liked. He has his fair share of friends and wants to be known. Making connections with people is always beneficial, and he will put on a smile to get to know someone. He might not be quite as outgoing as Issy, but that doesn't mean he's a hermit loner. The sophomore rather enjoys going out with friends to parties and such. He doesn't have a hard time striking up conversation with just about any person he can find. Words come easily and he is a smooth talker. Flirting goes hand in hand with that -- Seb likes the ladies and has had a handful of girlfriends over the years.
+ humorous .
Who doesn't like a good laugh? Seb makes a good amount of jokes when he's around his friends. A prank or two never hurts, either. Being funny is something he prides himself on. Having a sense of humor is never a bad thing, though at times his jokes come at the expense of others.
+/- protective .
When it comes to those he cares about, Seb will go to the end of the world for them. He will do just about anything for someone he is close to, especially his sister. Issy is a whole different matter entirely, and he's often a little too protective over her, forgetting that she can take care of herself. Still, when it comes to Isabelle, people will have to answer to him if they hurt her.
- controlling .
Even though Seb can be easy going at times, he has a tendency to be very bossy. He's definitely a leader rather than a follower, and will take charge in any situation to get the job done. He can com off as a bit domineering and over-bearing, especially when it comes to something he is passionate about. Everything has to be his way or the highway, and he isn't very good at compromising. It had to end up perfect and just how he wants it. He's ambitious, but always likes to be in control.
- condescending .
He doesn't set out to be arrogant, but Seb can be a little vain. Growing up he was treated like the best and has been told that for so long that he believes it. Not intentionally condescending, some remarks can still come off as such. He holds himself in high regard and superiority.
- meddlesome .
Seb has a tendency to want to help people however he can, and doesn't really take no for an answer. He'll get involved in people's lives and unfortunately the outcome isn't what he always hopes for. He has good intentions, yes, but it doesn't turn out that way. Often he tries to sort of Issy's life, what he used to do for out of care is now becoming a burden as their father puts more and more pressure on him to be responsible for the both of them.
- spoiled .
Growing up with parents who gave him everything, it's no surprise that Seb ended up as a little spoiled. He was never denied what he wanted and is naive to hard work, not having worked a day in his life. Money has never been an issue for the boy and he's not used to not getting his way. College life has been somewhat of an eye opener in that regard, that not everyone will bow at his feet, but with his parents making such big donations to the school he's still got the respect that comes with wealth, even though he's not the only trust fund kid on campus.
history.
The photographs scattered throughout the Vanleer home back in New York would probably give one a good idea of their family. Old photos of pompous businessmen, Audrey's modeling shots from back in the day, Pierre with some important political figure, the four of them in Paris... Paints a pretty picture, right? Well, it was sort of a fairy tale romance, how Sebastian's parents met. American pageant girl and wealthy French boy. He's heard the story a million times, but tries to plug his ears when it comes to the sappy stuff. All he does know is that it was a pretty rushed relationship, and in only six months the two were married and off to Paris to start their life together. The city of love, eh? As cliche as it sounds, they were happy. A nice home, good careers, what more could someone ask for?
Of course their family wasn't quite complete, and the twins were added to the mix. Their mother often jokes that getting pregnant was the death of her modeling career, and Seb can't quite tell if she's joking or still a little bitter about that fact. Even so, Sebastian and Isabelle were born to loving parents and a luxurious lifestyle. Pierre's work in government was going better than ever, so when he was offered a place at the French Embassy in America, he quickly took the opportunity and the family moved to the States. Growing up, Seb had anything and everything he could have possibly wanted.
His best friend and partner in crime has always been Isabelle, though usually she's the one getting into trouble and he's the one pulling her out of it. They've been practically inseparable since childhood, even into their teenage years they were still close. High school went well for Seb, he was the guy that everything came easy to. Throughout the years, he and Isabelle had always been close. It's hard to break a bond that strong.
Seb takes his older-by-two-minutes-brother status very seriously and wants nothing but the best for Issy. He tended to agree with his mother on most things, and is definitely a momma's boy. She supported him, encouraged by his knack for school and diplomatic stance. Unfortunately, Isabelle started to rebel from the expectations that their parents, more so mother, set on them. She could get their father to overlook her partying with a simple pout and bat of her eyelashes, but Seb was always held responsible.
Yes, he wanted to look out for Issy, but he couldn't do everything for her. Seb is very protective over his sister, but even so, he's trying to focus on getting his life in order instead of having to always worry about hers. However, his father placed strict orders on him to get an eye on the girl while they're at college. Even thousands of miles of separation and Pierre still couldn't let go of his daughter. Seb's growing a little tired of having to bear the burden of being responsible for his sister, but he loves her to pieces and can't exactly leave her hanging. University was supposed to give them their own separate identities, but Sebastian is finding himself more involved with Isabelle than ever. Part of him wants to move on with things, and the other doesn't like the idea of not having his twin by his side.
