Ian Connor Shea was born May 8thtwenty-fivetwenty-three years ago. He was born in Bismarck, Illinois. He has no occupation, major, or life ambition to speak of.
When it comes to style, comfort and luxury are two words that describe Ian’s. He can often be found sporting khaki shorts, high white socks, brown loafers, topped off with a wifebeater or short sleeve collared shirt with a cigar hanging out of his mouth. He’s also been known to sport a fedora every now and again, and he can do some pretty sweet tricks with it. Lounging around the house he can be found in basketball shorts and a tee shirt, and occasionally he loses his pants, usually when he’s been drinking. He is rarely clean shaven, and if he is, you know he’s hitting up the bars during the daytime. He’s packed on a few extra pounds recently, as he’s upped his alcoholic intake and refuses to exercise. He’s not overweight by any means, but his stomach is softer, not hard and muscled. He has a triquetra tattooed between his shoulder blades, signifying his family’s Celtic ancestors.
PERSONALITY
SLACKER Ian is averse to work of all kinds. He doesn’t want a job; he’s perfectly comfortable at college and at the Kappa Iota Gamma house. He hasn’t formally declared a major of study as he changes his mind every few months, mostly to take advantage of the female professors in more than just one department. He’s lazy, unless he’s cooking up some new amusing game or ruse to torment younger brother and pledges alike, after all, he is one of the oldest brothers in the house; he has a lot of seniority.
CHARMING Ian loves older women. He knows that a lot of times, after college, girls grow out of the “He’s such an asshole, I love him!” phase and develop other tastes in men. Considering Ian mastered the Loveable Asshole when started college, he’s been branching out to differing personalities. He knows what the older ladies like, and is there to give it to them. He flirts methodically; no one is going to insult his game. Or he’ll have sex with his or her mother.
STUBBORN Ian has a great dislike for change. He’s very set in his ways, and the traditions of the fraternity, and he gets very angry when things change. He also has quite a temper on him when he’s been drinking, though the rest of the time he’s extremely level-headed and chill.
INDULGENT Ian has expensive tastes, and therefore, massive amounts of credit card debt. However, he has an affinity for gambling and manages to keep himself afloat financially. He enjoys top shelf liquor, fancy hotels, steak dinners, and expensive bottles of wine. He also owns a very expensive suit, reserved for events like weddings and graduations.
DRUNK Ian’s alcohol consumption is off the charts. He is seemingly always some level of drunk. He spends the majority of his day at the fraternity house devising new drinking games. He’s a very lovey-dovey drunk, unless provoked. If he hasn’t had anything to drink for too long, he gets extremely irritable. He really does have a problem with alcoholism, but he’s in just as much of a hurry to remedy that situation, as he is to graduate. While entirely heterosexual, when he’s extremely drunk, he’s been known to hook up with his presidential counterpart and epic bromance partner, Wynne Evans. But he’s still 100% straight, of course, at least in his eyes.
CONNIVING Ian is great at seeing the big picture. His mind is very analytical in social interactions. He is great at having a goal in a situation and figuring out what he has to do to make that situation work with him. He gives solid, if blunt advice, but only when expressly asked for it.
SELFISH Ian’s first priority is Ian. He thinks very little about how his actions affect other people, and really doesn’t deal with consequences. He will lie if it benefits him to, and is great at thinking on his feet.
POSSESSIVE After himself, Ian’s second priorities are his friends. He’s a good one to have on your side in a bar fight, as he is fiercely loyal. He takes care of his own, screw everyone else.
LAID BACK Most of the time, Ian is pretty happy and relaxed. He never worries about what tomorrow brings, and believes that if it’s meant to work out, it will, one way or another. He’d much rather do whatever strikes his fancy on that particular day.
HISTORY
Ian was born to a farmer and his wife in the extremely quiet town of Bismarck, Illinois. He had a fairly normal childhood, and grew up working out on the farm from a young age, and thus he spent a lot of time outside. His family never had much money, but they certainly had their morals. They were strict but loving with Ian. He was a pretty straightlaced kid, even though he never had much ambition.
In high school Ian was on the average college bound track of classes, but did the bare minimum he had to in order to perform slightly above average. He took a wide variety of things, and tried a wide variety of hobbies, but very little could hold his attention for too long. He figured he would go to college because it’s what his older brother and sister did.
Pledging Kappa Iota Gamma just came naturally to Ian. He wandered into the house on their bid night, more than relatively drunk, and he charmed them into giving him a bid on the basis that “true brothers found Kappa Gamma Iota one way or another.” He devoted the entirety of his pledging semester to the fraternity, the lifestyle. Once intitated, he was always a dedicated brother, but not the type for leadership.
However, as he grew older and bonded with Wynne Evans, who then became president, Ian decided to run for vice president. Considering he was well liked among the brotherhood and was one of the most senior brothers in the house, he got the position. He insists on Kappa traditions being upheld, or at least the spirit of them when testing out his new drinking games and entertaining ruses.
Ian has mostly outgrown the average college girl, sexually. He finds them dull and selfish, whereas he prefers to be the selfish lover. He spends a lot of time at the bars, hitting on and hooking up with older women. The cougars are crazy for his charm and apparent intellect, as well as his willingness to be ravished in bed. It all started out on Craigslist and Ashley Madison, but now discretion is not at all important to him that he will directly hone in on these women at the bars, the grocery store, anywhere.
Yet to formally choose a major, Ian has been in college for six years. He’s not in any hurry to graduate. He’s not ready to commit to what he wants to do, but he knows he doesn’t want to inherit the farm and go back to Bismarck, which is his only other option. So he’s biding his time until then, soaking up as much introductory information for as many subjects as he can, mostly so he can have an equal chance with the female professors in each department.
