Ciel Avriel Lazaar has been living for twenty-two years. He first entered our world on April First of 1989. His only present occupation is being a full time party-animal, and he does it very well thank you.
Ciel’s style is impeccable to say the least. He rarely ever looks rumpled or not put together. He enjoys dressing up, and doing as he pleases with his hair. He’s afraid of needles, so there is no way he would mark up his skin with a tattoo or a piercing.
personality.
Callous; Ciel rarely thinks about how his words will affect people. He simply does not care. Sometimes his spiteful words are premeditated, but most of the time they simply spew out without much thought or planning. Ciel sometimes even insults the people he genuinely likes, though he tries to always apologize to them later.
Depressed; His depression is a big part of Ciel's character. It is what motivates most of his behaviors and ideas. His depression stems from the cruel death of his childhood love and confidant. He tries to hide his depression with alcohol and general assholery. He doesn't want people to know that he's vulnerable
Judgemental; Ciel is very quick to judge anyone. Within the first few seconds of observing someone, he knows whether or not he will want to befriend them or not. Usually he doesn't, but there are rare occasions when he will use his practiced charm to seem amiable to someone.
Cynical; He always looks for the worst in people, and usually finds it. He believes that it is human nature to want to hurt someone, and that's also part of the reason he doesn't like to open up. It would take someone truly remarkable to have the patience and personality to deal with him and make him open up.
Wary; Though he likes to dish it out, Ciel rarely likes to be on the receiving end of mockery. He tolerates it from his friends and frat brothers, but only out of necessity. Coming from anyone else, it is sure to bring out his temper.
Family
Ciel was born into a strange family. His parents were remote, and only wanted children for the novelty of them. His parents treated Ciel and his sister, Adella, more like prized show animals than real people. They were taken out at parties and shown off because of their good manners, looks, and style. His mother was very proud of her accomplishment in creating the perfect children. When Ciel turnd ten and Adella turned eight, a young boy came to live with them. Ciel’s parents had connections to the Russian embassy, who had asked that they take the child in. The child’s name was Alexei Blogdanvich, and he was of the same age of Ciel. Alexei came from a very prominent Russian family. He was entered into the witness protection agency at a young age, and moved frequently due to his hemophilia. Many of the homes he stayed in were ill equip for a boy of his nature. He found his final home with the Lazaars, and was quite happy to stay.
History
Because his family treated them more as pets than as children, Adella, Alexei, and Ciel banded together. They spent much time together, and soon it was obvious that Alexei and Ciel were serious about each other. Adella kept their secret, and they managed to remain unsuspected until they were sent off to boarding school together. Alexei had confided many things about the nature of his protection to Ciel. He was very concerned about being removed from their family. Ciel and Alexei shared a room in the spacious house, though his parents didn’t know. They found comfort in each other nightly. Many times Alexei would wake up screaming, witnessing the same scene that had sent him here all over again. Times like these left Ciel feeling protective. Ciel often worried that he would wake up in the morning and there would be no trace of his love. He had been warned countless times that Alexei could be moved without warning.
His worst fears came to pass one night while they were on break from boarding school. Alexei, who suffered from hemophilia, had had a bleed in the night. The white linen sheets, usually immaculate, were drenched in blood. He scoured the house, but found no sign of Alexei. In the weeks after the disappearance of his love, Ciel began to change. He hardened and became cynical. Later, he was to be told that Alexei had passed away that night. There was nothing that the doctors could do to stop his bleed this time. He knew that the agency could have been lying to him, but he felt in his heart that it was true. His only star had gone out of the sky. Ciel took to drinking and partying to take his mind off of his intense physical pain. Now, five years later, from time to time a haunted look overcomes his countenance. He transforms back into a little boy, drifting, his only reason for living gone from him.
