Aislin Shani O'Byrne was born in 1985 on May 20th. She's twenty-seven years old and works as a mechanics professors at Litton-Colwell university.
As far as looks go, Aislin is a pretty plain-looking woman. Aside from her vibrant red hair, she's pretty but nothing remarkable. She has no tattoos and only her ears are pierced. The only other identifying marks on her body are a few scars and marks here and there from general wear through the years. As far as dress goes, Aislin is all about functional and cute. Most of the time she's mucking around in her work overalls, but underneath and on the weekends she's a fan of floral patterns, nice lace, a good blouse or two. Her skirts are always past the knees, however, and the most skin she'll show on her chest is collarbone.
Personality .
Aislin is that cool camp counsellor type that always seems to be genuinely interested in the details of your life. She's a very social creature; she chats with strangers on the bus, brings homeless people sandwiches every Friday night, takes coffee to staff meetings. The only time she's not socializing and chatting people up is when she gets home at about ten and watches Grey's Anatomy with her cat. Her biggest guilty pleasure is a juicy chunk of gossip. As much as she loves people, though, she's pretty detached. People do some stupid stuff with their lives and sometimes they won't be changed. That doesn't stop her trying to help, even if all that means is taking the person for coffee once a week and just chatting. Some people want to be bad and some people do wrong on purpose, and she understands that ultimately, it's their choice. If she wasn't detached, if she didn't make sure not to take it to heart when people choose to stray away from what's right, it would've killed her by now. But that doesn't mean seeing people spiral doesn't make her sad.
She's a very active, ambitious woman and she always has something going on, whether she's off to work or baking muffins for a friend of a friend who's having a rough time, leading her youth group or taking part in volunteer activities. A lot of people find her annoyingly chipper and that's okay because it's true. Although she's a devout Catholic, Aislin never pushes her religion on people and she doesn't do the good things she does because God thinks she should; she does them because they're right. The fact that what's right and what God asks is often the same just happens to be a happy coincidence, but if it ever came down to what was right and what was Godly, she would always pick what was right.
For the first seventeen years of her life, Aislin was raised in Omagh, Ireland on a little cattle farm. Though she was brought up in Ireland, she was born in New York while her parents were staying with Aoife's parents. This would explain why she has shown herself to have remarkable abilities while her brother Delaney has not.
She was raised Catholic and went to church every Sunday with her mama from the day she was born. Her father Pearse and her older brother Delaney didn't believe in God, and it came as no surprise to her that they seemed to have things a bit rougher than Aislin did. Life was great until she started school. For many years, she was nothing special. She had bad acne from a young age and thanks to being born with a slightly more curved spine than the doctors would have liked, she had to wear a back brace for many years as well. It was a rather unpleasant experience, having magnets stuck to her brace and being attached to various structures around the school, but Delaney was always around to beat people up for her even when the brace came off and her acne cleared up and suddenly all the guys that teased her weren't so mean any more. At least, Delaney was there for a while. Then one day, after a roaring fight with their father, he was gone. He took off to Hawaii to live with their grandparents and it was common belief that he wasn't going to look back.
Thankfully, he did. A year later, Delaney sent for his little sister. Hawaii was much bigger than Omagh and the people were corrupt and a lot of stuff went down that would take too long to go into. After unknowingly dating drug lords, living in a house full of lecherous old men that made her fetch them their 'favourite mug' on the top shelf, walking in on her brother having sex with someone much too young for him, studying auto mechanics in university on scholarship and finishing up her online business course, Aislin took all the money she'd made over the last three years doing odd jobs, a chunk of money her father left him when he passed and another chunk from her extremely generous grandparents and moved herself to San Francisco when she turned twenty.
Over the next seven she started a youth group for anyone looking to socialize and learn more about God, took some courses to get another degree this one in teaching, landed herself a position at Litton-Colwell university and has become an expert at getting by. Money isn't exactly plentiful and sometimes it's difficult to feel entirely fulfilled, but that just means more volunteering is in order! Fill the void where husbands and children should be with charity work and God and maybe she'll never notice the difference.
